I just ran across this now-standalone total mod for Quake 3. It's designed to be realistic yet fun, and the servers I've played on have been pretty fun.

I remember playing Urban Terror back in 2003. I'm guessing it must have changed a lot since then, since when I played it the realism was about on par with CounterStrike.

Used to clan play since it's original version, it progressively got better but always had the problems of hackers for any real competitive play. It's a just game to jump into a pub and have some fun. It's more fast paced and less campy for the most part so I find it more fun than CS.

True combat elite looks better (has iron sights even), and runs on top of Enemy Territory which is free
