Recomend a Wireless Adapter
I'm looking to get a new adapter. My computer is across the house from the router, so it tends to not have the greatest signal. It also doesn't seem to be getting anywhere near the speed of the computer connected by ethernet. Any suggestions for me that won't break the bank?

What kind of router is it? The simplest solution is often to attach the long range antennae onto your router. Of course, this won't help if the issue is your computer not having the range back to the router, as opposed to the other way around.
And Wireless never gets as good of speed as wired. It's just something you'll have to deal with on that front.
More details would be helpful.
