I have great difficulty caring about them as carefree human children just because they look and sound like them. I can't imagine taking a game so seriously as to think someone is 'sick' for killing them ingame. They're a part of the ecology, and killing them is no more heinous than killing the other freaks in the city. Unless you buy into the 'oh noes think of the children' heart-string plucking, which obviously I don't.

Frankly I think killing the big guys is meaner; they're just mindless slaves to the little girl's magic powers.
Oh...never mind then...

I can understand getting upset about killing game people, I've always been...but I'm a bit weird and oversensitive about stuff like that, and I'm not about to say that people who do are sick bastards or anything (if I did myself and my parents would all be labeled dangerous sociopaths).

Well it's one thing to play a game where you tear a baby from it's mother's breast and blow it's brains out, cackling maniacally all the while and quite another to kill freaky magic people who give you powerups in a game. I'm sure if Bioshock was less linear and preachy it might have some impact, but to me they're just like the rest of the fucked up monsters in the game, just more useful. I'm not saying I'd kill them all in some kind of bloodlust, but I don't think it's at all strange that someone would.

I think that it's quite amusing that people forget that their introduction to the Little Sister's is watching them brutally maim, kill and then desecrate the body of some unfortunate soul. All while skipping, singing and whistling jaunty tunes.

Just because a monster is in a girl's body doesn't make it any less of a monster.

Huh? The first time you see a Little Sister is when one of them decides not to extract ADAM from you when she realizes you're not dead (after you've injected yourself for the first time). The next time after that, she's extracting ADAM from an (already-dead) body, and is attacked by a live Splicer - so she screams, and a Big Daddy comes to the rescue.

Oh yeah, I forgot that those creeps at the beach house come back to fight you if you don't just kill them the first time.

...I wonder if they've done anything with that in the unofficial patches, because coming back to the beach to find those guys waiting seemed kinda' random and SOD breaking (since you could do so much that was obviously bad for your humanity/masquerade breaking). But fixing something like that would probably get more people screaming at the modders about messing around with the game, never mind that they're changing things that make sense to change...but tangent...

What, I'm just acting in character :)
Much the same. Playboy was a tool and I can always use another apartment for car storage.

Dwayne reminds me too much of my buddy Derric. I couldn't kill Derric!
