Tatsunoko VS Capcom! New fighting game in the works
Clicky
A new fighting game is in development featuring a crossover between various Tatsunoko and Capcom characters.
I wonder if they will put in characters from Superbookand The Flying House? Does that mean we get to fight as Jesus?

I see Cashern and members of the group from Battle of the Planets. I wonder if you'll get to play as the main villain from Cashern.

Whilst those are all things Tatsunoko have been involved in at some level, the only ones of that list they own the rights to are Samurai Pizza Cats and Speed Racer, and the Genesis Climber Mospaeda section of Robotech (they have international distribution rights to the original animation for the other parts, but can't license it for derivative works). I think SPC is confirmed as being in the game as well.Mr Bean wrote:See wiki for a list of Tatsunko production possibles.

Mr Bean: I recognize Evangelion, Speed Racer, and Robotech off that list.

I just hope that any Samurai Pizza Cats parts are "properly" translated.

I knew there was another name for it but completely forgot. Thanks for reminding me of it. Though the cartoon sucked ass.Alan Bolte wrote:Enigma wrote:No one remembers G-Force?Same cartoon, different adaptations.Tasoth wrote:I see Cashern and members of the group from Battle of the Planets.

I'm very much doubting that this game will be localised at all. The international rights for the characters are all over the place.Drooling Iguana wrote:I just hope that any Samurai Pizza Cats parts are "properly" translated.
Still, if it's a PS3 game you'll be able to import it anyway, region free and all that.

When I first saw news of this, it included a splash image with a bunch of tatsunoko characters in it, including Nurse Witch Komugi (from Soul Taker and the derivative with her name), which made me giddy for a moment as the thought that she might be in a fighting game was just too hilarious not to entertain.
Still, the SPC are just as good.
