Mac und wireless
Yes, Macs again.
I'm trying to figure out how to get a Mac notebook on the web via wireless. It's an older model running either 10.2 or 10.3, and the Apple store has apparently said they stopped selling compatible Airport cards. Should I look for an ol Airport on eBay, or are there third-party cards and drivers that'll do the job?

Amazon may have what you're looking for.

I have no idea. I don't normally shop for Mac hardware, though I suppose eBay might have it for cheaper.Bounty wrote:$195? For that money I can get an unlimited bus pas to the library with enough change left for a hooker. Are those normal prices?

Right, before I spend money, I'm going to try and install an old B card I have loitering around. The chipset has OSX drivers, so I'll change the vendor and product ID's in a hex editor and pray it installs - hey, it worked for my last wireless card. Clumsy, I know, but money's tight.
If that doesn't work, I'll shop around.
