Same rules as the previous thread for R:TW - Nominator need not submit their review/rating. also - while the nomination DOES specify the Game boy version - those who have played console versions may submit as well. After all, Tetris is Tetris is Tetris - except when it's Bejewelled.
Quality/Innovation: 6
This would have scored higher, but to be honest this is pure innovation. Tetris is the grandfather of the falling block-type puzzle game. Quality is like, "Meh" because, well, let's face it: they're blocks. That fall.
Graphics/sound: 3
Blocks. That fall. With midi music.
Fun Factor: 8
What's not fun about Tetris? It's TETRIS. Even 20 years later it's still supremely fun.
Replayability: 9
20 years, still fun.
Learning curve: 6
This rates low because this is one of those "Easy to play ridiculously hard to master" type games. Still, it IS Tetris.
Immersion: 1
lol whut? It's Tetris.

TVery innovative, one of the best games of the time.
Graphics/sound: 2
Not impressive.
Fun Factor: 6
I'm not a big fan of tetris, but as far as the older games go, it's decent.
Replayability: 4
Gets so old, so fast.
Learning curve: 9
You make blocks fall to make lines. Seriously.
Immersion: 1
None.

I was going to rate lower here, but when I thought of all the games that have spawned from tetris, and how very little they've been able to improve the game in 20 years that its almost perfect in its original form.
Graphics/sound: 5
Graphics, well, its hard to be subjective with 8Bit graphics, but still, no works of art here. Sound however is what bumps this up to a five. Yeah, its crappy MIDI music. Its still up there with catchiest of the generation(while Mario and Castlevania did much better)
Fun Factor: 7
I rated this lower because to me, puzzle games are rewarding in a way I wouldn't call fun. There are other games I would consider funner to play that are not nearly as good as this one(a lot of the social games such as Rock Band are a much more fun, while not nearly as good a game).
Replayability: 10
Probably one of those games that you never stop enjoying nor playing as the years roll on.
Learning curve: 5
Difficultly is not this game. There are some little strategies you can pick up, but not too complicated a game.
Immersion: 8
Way have to disagree with Chardok here, Tetris is one of those games you get lost in. Maybe not the scenery or the story, but in the gameplay? More so than a lot of games where I will have a podcast or the TV running as I play.
