I have recently been using a neat little piece of free software called "Shoot" (website) which allows you to create voice commands and translates them into keystrokes (or macros) via voice recognition. So far I have been using it to control various military sims and found it's pretty useful if you set it up sensibly. However Shoot itself has an annoying bug whereby the software just breaks down after about 20 minutes of sustained use and stops sending commands properly, it's a known bug but there is no more development of Shoot being done (last update was something like 2004) so it won't be fixed.
What I'm wondering is - does anyone here know of any other voice recognition software that can perform a similar function? I remember ages ago Microsoft actually released a "game voice" peripheral, but that's long since been discontinued.
