Retrieving passwords from IE
How do I retrieve passwords stored by IE? I'm in the process of nuking this computer but I'd like to write down any passwords that have been stored. So how do I get around retrieving them?

Re: Retrieving passwords from IE
hax0r it with Cain and Abel.
It literally has a "list all passwords stored in IE" button:
If any of them turn out to be hashed or encrypted you can also throw them into the built-in cracker to run dictionary attack or brute force em...
PS: Some anti-virus programs may identify it as a virus - it's not.

Though we are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,--
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Re: Retrieving passwords from IE
I've installed the program and yet I can't access it. Windows tells me that it either cannot find it (despite clicking on Cain.exe) or that I do not have permission though I have admin access on XP. Any alternatives?Isil`Zha wrote:hax0r it with Cain and Abel.

Thanks. Got the passwords that I needed. Also managed to get Cain to work, it was just XP being borked.Argosh wrote:IE Passview?
