I'll be honest and say that I hope at one Varian would go "By the Light, what have I done!" (yes it's a cliche but it works here) and restart with a more pro-alliance agenda (this doesn't exclude the existance of the orcs or rest of the Horde but doesn't mean you ignore the threat they present either).

Casting out the Forsaken might cause more harm then good on the long run, not only would it totally isolate Quel'thalas from rest of the Horde, I'd suspect a prominent reason why we haven't seen large scale deployment of the "new plague" is that forsaken had the military strength of the horde to back them up so they didn't have to use such drastic methods (and it should be noted that the deployment at the Wrath Gate was against Sylvanas' wishes (aka Putress was acting on his own (well his master was)). So leaving the Forsaken to fend of themselves might cause a drastic spiking in their use of plague based weapons simply to survive.
