Zixinus wrote:Soul Reaver and maybe the original Blood Omen. The rest was fucked beyond belief, especially Soul Reaver 2. You spent an entire game chasing down Kain and beefing yourself up for a fight, only to suddenly decide for some unclear reason that maybe Kain isn't such a bad guy after all.
And then you went back in time and killed yourself. Which is never a clever thing to do. Also, it was a shit game.

PeZook, quite honestly, I don't know why are you hitting the old DX with a bat at this point. It's like clubbing baby seals to death.

We could go back to each and every IRC rpg session we played and pick on some unrealistic shortcomings. If you would let Stark (or Shep for that matter) anywhere nearby the logs from our Flashpoint RPG campaign his bodily fluids would turn into acid.

Why, maybe I'm a sadist? :D

I completed Deus Ex several times, so it's not like I really hate the game all that much. It's just that I see many of its shortcomings now which I used to totally ignore.

I thought we did do just that? Several times? :D

Lack of realism (or silly story) =/= boring game.

It's just that lots of people tend to think Deus Ex had a great story, which it really didn't.

It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.
