I've got a problem at work with a DVD disc that came from US. On my Mac (OS X) it shows that there is about 450 mb of data present, but when I open the main directory the only file there is autorun.inf
Similar problem appears on PC's - only that autorun.inf is a hidden file and the amount of data on the disc is about 250 mb.
Anyone know what to do with it? There is some quite important data on that DVD.
Thanks.

What does the autorun.inf file say when you open it with a text editor?
An example it might say is:

Also some basic troubleshooting questions:
- Are they burned CD-Rs or factory stamped disks?
- Do you know the name of the program that burned them?
- Have you tried Googleing the name of the disk or program that burned the disk with "autorun.inf" yet?
- If you don't mind, can you tell us the name of the disk/program on the disk/program that made the disk?

No. These are internal style guides for publishing. The disc came from USA and I have NO idea where and how it was burned.Dominus Atheos wrote:Also some basic troubleshooting questions:

I did however found out that the filesystem is RockRidge. Which isn't that common AFAIK but supported since 10.1 (I have 10.5).
What the hell?
