Heavy Rain
I finished playing this on Tuesday, and have watched a couple of roommates finish as well, with different consequences. So, anyone else played it? And what did you think of it?

Re: Heavy Rain
Meh at best. Sadly most of the better points were shown in previews.
The voice acting was spotty in game where it was far more movie then game and thus making one cringe at hearing the characters emote...at points you are wanting the player to feel compassion or pain. The story had problems with making you care and then nothing and finally apathy at self said characters and in fact a few times you question the characters stupidity...when their own thoughts reflected the intelligent path, at the moment of crisis. Also it becomes a chore to accomplish a task in a movie game because you do not really care for Character X and they are essential to the plot? Your writing staff failed. Finally there are plotholes where a little thinking would've solved the issues of occurances that make no sense no matter how you cut it and ones that are no excuse in a game that prides itself in being a mystery. The worst part? You could sit there, do nothing and still see an ending. Maybe not the ending you want...but an ending to the story.
It reminded me too much of Indigo Prophecy wherein they had a good idea, but bad execution and this one got hyped to fucking kingdom come.

Aaah, Indigo Prophecy. Because endings shouldn't ever make sense. I swear, Neon Genesis made more sense than that.
Chronological Incontinence: Time warps around the poster. The thread topic winks out of existence and reappears in 1d10 posts.
