Game lagging

I've been playing Arsenal of Democracy and towards the latter dates the game lags like crazy. Is there any changes I could make to get it to go at a reasonable speed?

What patch are you playing? If 1.3, 1.4 will make the game faster across the board, so it should fix that. 1.3 has a pretty nasty bug that it checks logistics dozens of times too often, and 1.4 also has faster logistics calculations, according to the developers.

That won't work- steam automatically updates it. Plus I think it already includes the patches from hearts of iron.

Well, it will, because 1.4 doesn't exist yet, so that's why it hasn't updated.

And, uh, what do you mean by Hearts of Iron things?

Look, just wait for Patch 1.4.
