I'm trying to record a five minute or so clip of Darth Vader giving a speech on COPD treatment. Or rather me giving a speech then using a computer to transform the voice into a darth vader voice. Given the 10 person audience, this doesn't have to be quality or anything; just 'okay'. That said I was wondering if anyone had a good idea on how to pull off a darth-vader-voice change on a PC?
So far my best results have been by talking a bit slower and deeper than usual, then using goldwave to do a pitch transformation (0.8x) while preserving the length with no semitonal change and 90% overlap (whatever that means).
The breathing is the easy part; a slight non-reverb echo and paste-mix solve the problem.
PS: Posted here because of the 'computer' bit and it doesn't seem to fit under artwork/music. Please move if it's wrong forum.

Dunno if this would help, but this was done by pitch-shifting the song down to "about" 38 ("That's to the left on the slider") in Audiocity.
