Naval strategy games

Post by HMS Sophia »

I need you guys to recommend some naval strategy games.
Now, I've have naval-ops commander and warship gunner, both of which were awesome. I especially love the ship creation system, but it's generally all good :D. My ps2 barely works these days though, so they're failing now :(
Also got hold of battle of midway or whatever it was called. I did not approve of the game really, it had too much focus on flying and the missions were very limited (I like naval ops for its replay value)
I've also played NavyField, which is all right, but can be a bit meh sometimes...

So if anyone has any suggestions, that would be awesome..

Oh, btw, I'm in the UK (so no imports preferable) and am happy with xbox 360 or pc. Either is good.

Thanks in advance

Jane's Fleet Command for a more general strategic sim or Dangerous Waters for a more specific sim experience both are available on steam.

There's the good old, infinitely moddable Harpoon series too. Don't expect fancy graphics though : it's all plots and data windows :)

Those certainly sound interesting.
Is there anything around like naval ops? where you design the ship?
