A funny thing

Some of you may remember an old game called Metal Marines, where you and your opponent control islands and fire missiles at each other to blow up bases. Great fun.

Anyway, I recently installed it using wine on my Ubuntu computer. Runs fairly well.

The funny thing is, it turns out this game won't run on Windows 7
And also one of the ingredients to making a pony is cocaine. -Darth Fanboy.

So a bit of software, which is specifically designed to allow software from all versions of Windows to run on Linux, does what it says it could.... as opposed to the latest version of Windows which has by design broken compatibility with older software (i.e. 16-bit software in x64). Colour me shocked I say, shocked

Might as well say "It won't run in Windows 7 but I got it running by installing Win98 in VMWare!!!!!!11!!!!!one!!!! hurr hurr hurr"
Marcus Aurelius: ...the Swedish S-tank; the exception is made mostly because the Swedes insisted really hard that it is a tank rather than a tank destroyer or assault gun
Ilya Muromets: And now I have this image of a massive, stern-looking Swede staring down a bunch of military nerds. "It's a tank." "Uh, yes Sir. Please don't hurt us."
