From some odd reason the cd-rom is missing in bios and so I can't boot from it. However onec I log into vista and goto my computers the cd drive is listed and it works fine.
Any ideas?

I'll post my problem on this as well, as its pretty much the same topic. My CD/DVD on my vista has recently become non operational. I checked my computer to see if it was listed on the other drives and its only showing the local hard disk and the recovery disk, but not the CD drive.

So I'm not sure if the CD is just dead or if there's anyway I can make it work again.
