I just recently reinstalled Sins of a Solar Empire and after much difficulty, I finally figured out the registration email and password I used originally so that I can get the patch. Unfortunately, Impulse likes being stupid and the patch won't proceed unless I have IE7 or higher (I still have IE6 on my computer, just never use it). I go here and try to install IE8 but no download pops up and when I try to click on the "Start download" link, nothing shows or I get a broken link message. My question:
1. Is this happening to anyone else?
2. How can I get IE8 for a Windows XP 32 bit?

Have you gone through Windows Update? That's how I installed IE8: when WU prompted me to. Presumably you can do the same thing to find it?
