We had a thread on this back in March, but it was only six posts long and the game's gone through a fair few changes since.
Homepage. At it's heart, the game is a fusion of Minecraft and a greatly simplified but quite realistic FPS. There's only three firearms to choose from, you can die in two or three shots and some knowledge of real-world infantry tactics is really useful. The elaborate walls, towers and bunkers you can build give the game a trench warfare feel, but since the blocks they're made from are destructible the late-game can bring to mind the battle of Stalingrad. Capture The Flag (or "intel") is the only game-mode supported as yet.

Anyone still playing it? I'm sure I saw a "DeuceInACan" on a server somewhere, one of you used that handle at some point. If not, votekicking has now been implemented to contain the rampant vandalism and the odd weirdo who amuses themselves by decorating the map with giant male genitalia. The game also seems to attract a frankly alarming number of Nazis.

Yep, I still play it, though I tend to play avidly after a new update and then not so much the following week. In all seriousness I actually do prerfer this to Call of Duty. The open level struture and long range sniping (with 1 shot kills) force a much more careful approach to movement and combat.

The number of swastikas you can see being built by some players always surprises me though. Mind you, there are always more people willing to destroy them.

If the swastikas annoy you too much just start destroying/defacing them. It's about even odds anyone nearby (sometimes regardless of team) will help.

Actually, the swastikas are just one aspect of the problem. I've lost count of the number of times I've set up a votekick for a player using racist epithets in the chat, and on one or two occasions I've seen them setting up votekicks for being black or Jewish. Comments like "fag" are so common I can't even be bothered to try a votekick for it, though I have seen a player get a votekick set up for verbally abusing me when I alluded to my own orientation. (Some comedian had spelled out "Blue likes penis" on the ground in the Green spawn area, and I suggested they try it before they knock it.)

But unfortunately, the banning system only tracks nicknames, not IP addresses. Changing nicknames takes under a minute.
