Looking for a laptop cooler

Post by Hawkwings »

I'm running my laptop pretty hot these days, especially in games. It's tripped the thermal power off switch more than a few times, so I'm looking for a nice cooling pad with a couple of fans. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've found this one and this one that seem to fit the bill and have good reviews.

Look at the bottom of your laptop. Figure out where the most heat builds up. Get one that has fans in the right spots.

Also, simply by putting your laptop "on blocks" (even just a cm off the work surface) you can get airflow under it naturally which works a treat.

Opening the case and giving it a good clean would also be a good idea if you haven't already done so.

Replace "ginger" with "n*gger," and suddenly it become a lot less funny, doesn't it?

Yeah, I have it up on blocks and I just dusted it out yesterday. It's still running pretty hot, though not as bad as before.
