Had a weird problem with Explorer crashing and restarting just now. About a minute before it happened, I heard my computer make the rising whir you sometimes hear with Intel computers when they get hung up on something. Also the Win7 transparency disappeared on my task bar and menus.
After the computer got itself sorted out I started a virus scan and I'm hitting the defrag after that. Anybody got any ideas WTF just happened?
Self-built tower, Windows 7 x64 Home Premium, i5-760, PNY GeForce 9600GT, 12 GB DDR3.

The Vortex Empire: I think the real question is obviously how a supervolcano eruption wiping out vast swathes of the country would affect the 2016 election.
Borgholio: The GOP would blame Obama and use the subsequent nuclear winter to debunk global warming.

Almost certainly a driver crash. Don't worry about it unless it happens again.
