Problem with Morrowind

Post by koputusx »

I have a odd problem in morrowind. Yesterday when I played it, I noticed my inventory wasn't showing properly, it only showed map and Item part, but stat and skill parts were nowhere to be found. I tried another save same problem. Then I quit, hoping that the problem would miraculously go away. But then today I started a new game and it had same problem. Any ideas what's causing this or how to fix this?

It's probably the little goblins inside your computer, dude.

Seriously though. It's something like 12 years old. That is ancient. There are a thousand things that could be the problem, and posting on a sci-fi web board with a vague description of the issue isn't going to solve it. If you're going to be messing around with a game that old, you need to have the technical know-how to maintain it yourself.

The standard battery of responses are to make sure you're running in Windows compatibility mode, admin rights, have any relevant operating system-related updates or unofficial fixes, DirectX, video drivers, etc. Beyond that you need to figure out your own game, or Google the problem.

Have you by chance closed them? I know you can resize and move the windows, you may be able to close them too. Try the hotkey for the respective menus. Failing that, try here for more help.
