Hm, Been pondering looking up and aquiring generals for a few days now but everyone I've talked to said it was smush...would it be worth the time to get it?

Its certainly a good game if you've got the rig to run it. Not as high-quality as the earlier pure Westwood incarnations of the series and really has nothing to do with C&C, but still a good game. Campaigns are shitty, but the skirmishes keep me well entertained.

If the gameplay's good...then a few consessions can be made..

I love Generals. I'd be playing it right now if my good comp didn't go to hell on me. I should rephrase my comment on the campaigns, though. They are not bad in and of themselves, but all three are short, have 0 story and are in no way connected to each other. They're also pretty damn easy.
