Its probably in referance to the US Army Special forces AKA The Green Berets, rather then a shitty movie no one has ever heard of, if it was selected for any particular reason at all.

Considering it's set in the '60s and in a jungle, that's the likely explanation.Sea Skimmer wrote:Its probably in referance to the US Army Special forces AKA The Green Berets, rather then a shitty movie no one has ever heard of, if it was selected for any particular reason at all.
MGS3 is certainly looking good even from these basic videos and shots.
X-Play on TechTV did a show from E3, and they were showing these games and many many more, some playable demos, others just teasers.
BattleStar Galatica looks nice.
TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles and Hulk both seem to be using cel-shading to look comic-y, but it come across beautifully.
"SnakeEater" showed him eating a snake, explaining that he has to hunt to eat and eat to regain health. Wheeee.....
But the one that had me jumping up and down in my seat was Final Fantasy X2. Ooooooooo.. change your job by changing your Clothing? And some great pictures Yuna with twin pistols, looking all kickass-and-take-names. (SirNitram: BOOBIES!)

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

I think you get to play as Big Boss in Vietnam, since that is an M-16A1 rifle. Thats just my theory though.Admiral Valdemar wrote:Considering it's set in the '60s and in a jungle, that's the likely explanation.Sea Skimmer wrote:Its probably in referance to the US Army Special forces AKA The Green Berets, rather then a shitty movie no one has ever heard of, if it was selected for any particular reason at all.

EGM has a short spout about Battlestar Galactica. It takes place before the TV series and they claim you will have at least one mission to pilot a Cyon or Cyan starship. Fuck them chrome bastards anyways. It's done by the guys who made Colony Wars as well. Woo, I'm in high anticipation.

If Psygnosis are doing it then expect it to be excellent.Cal Wright wrote:EGM has a short spout about Battlestar Galactica. MGS3's graphics don't look like they're going to come close to matching some upcoming games, but the format for MG games doesn't rely on amazing poly counts or super-duper bump mapping or whatever. Graphics just make a nice edge. As long as the game has that kickass infiltration and sneaking experience, I'm sold.
The Great and Malignant
Oh Lord, not Battlestar Galactica.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
