Halo 2 hopefuls

What things would you like to see/do in halo 2. I personally would love to play as a hunter in multi-player. I know we will be able to play as the covy's but nothing has been said as to what type of them we can play.

I've heard about using Banshee's in multiplayer, which is going to be great. I don't know about playing as a Hunter in multiplayer but that would bloody well rock.

I know for a fact you'll be able to lean around corners, which will be very handy and I am looking forward to the sighted semi-automatic. The other thing I'll be looking forward to is that it'll run on the Live! service. :D

Another thing the i am looking forward to is city fight. Being able to sit on top of a building and pick people off. Also destructible enviroments is going to be great. I dream of sitting in a tank and blowing up parts of buildings

Oh yeah, that'll be sweet. I hope some of the multiplayer levels are larger too... Blood Gulch and Sidewinder are great, but I still feel restricted in them, especially when I'm using a vehicle.

It will also be available for multiplayer in the PC version of Halo.

I am curious about these 'stun gernades' that were seen being used during the E3 video... I also want to see a lot more of the Marine's new AI, seeing them react to different situations and seeking cover, calling in backup, etc, that Bungie says they'll do now.

I know about the Banshee in Halo PC multiplayer, I'm one of those people who generally only games on a console though.

As for the AI, yes, I'm also looking forward to non-retarded antagonists.

I really wish people would bother to learn their history.

Halo was The Big Thing in early 2000 and PC gamers were eagerly awaiting its released in late 2000 or early 2001 by Bungie. Then Microsoft comes along and buys up Bungie for its X-Box console and promises the game will still be released for the PC. Two fucking years later they say that their finaly working on the PC version and you will be LUCKY to get it at the two year mark of the X-Box release.

I want a squad automatic weapon, the flame thrower, and a player controlled human flying vehicle and I'll be happy with Halo 2.

I'm glad the Marines will be able to drive this time around. In Halo 1 I sometimes felt like I was a fucking chauffer. I just hope they're smart enough to avoid enemy fire and grenades.

The gauss rifle from the E3 demo looked pretty interesting. I'd certainly like to see the effect it has on the Wraith tank.

The new two weapon feature, Bungie cooked up will be nice. I'm glad they are planning on limiting it to one handed weapons. Twin rocket launchers would be a bit much.

I'm very pleased with how the Battle rifle behaved in the E3 demo. It always struck me as unrealistic that the tiny pistol was more accurate and powerful than the assault rifle.

But it's so cool to have a game where the pistol is more than a waste of space!

It is cool, see the only problem i have with it is that it has a zoom. Take out the zoom and the pistol will be perfect. Doesn't make any sense for the pistol to have a zoom.

The pistol in Halo 2 will hopefully be more like a hold out weapon when you don't have time to reload, and you don't care to get close enough to melee attack the enemy(Like in real life). Accurate, with moderate stopping power, and a high rate of fire but not really useful at long range. If you want to put a hurt on a target across a field you use the battle rifle or sniper rifle. The gun probably won't be all that different in Halo 2. Bungie may just reduce it's range and retain it's power.

I hope they eliminate that one shot in the soft flesh business with the Hunters in the next game. Once you figure out that weakness they are complete pushovers, regardless of what difficult you play on.

And for the flood I'd like an automatic shotgun like the USAS-12. They could have it fire very fast but have barrel heat, and ammunition be an issue to maintain game balance.

Human aircraft would be nice. I to would love to be a Hunter in multiplayer. The ability to carry more then two weapons in multiplayer would be nice too. And it would be nice if Bungie would stop shoving off the release date!

I disagree, this would remove a small amount of tactical strategy. It should stay.

If Bungie think they can make the game better by working on it longer then I'm not going to complain.

Well I was thinking that could be a user-controlled option, not a permentant setting. I don't mind Bungie taking a little extra time on it but for a little while they were saying the end of next year. Now I hear spring next year, so that's a little better.
May God bless,

Agreed on both points. Being able to hold only 2 weapons is great, it adds strategy. Halo isn't quake or unreal, if it aint broke don't fix it. I don't mind waiting longer for a better game. As far as I am concerned i don't mind waiting till the end of 2004 if it is one of the best games that i am ever going to play

Having an opportunity to see some human capital ships other than the Pillar Of Autumn would be interesting.

I have never played Halo. Feel free to verbally abuse me.

I just saw the preview movie for Halo 2. Halo jumping looks so awesome!

Anyway, I'd love a two gun feature.
