I haven't played it in the longest time. Main problem is that I still haven't had the time or money to go out and buy a legit copy of Half-Life.

Ah, the sweet irony of your avatar. It only costs like a fiver over in the UK now, on "best sellers" series thing...

hehe, I own a copy of HL. The original one that is. Bought it when it first came out, before GotY or anything like that.

Never played Sven, but I downloaded it once. is it good?

Yeah, I know. I haven't played Half-Life in quite a while now, but I certainly am looking forward to actually going out and getting Half-Life 2.

I'll probably pick up the Platinum Pack while I'm at it, since I haven't played Opposing Force or Blue Shift and I really want to.

Op Force = fun single-player, horrible multi-player (although, if you liked normal HL MP, then maybe you'd like this)

Blue Shift = REALLY SHORT single-player (beat it in 4 hours myself, people have said they've done it in 2), i dunno about multi-player

I got tired of the four senarios that everyone plays on Sven.

I tried playing it a few times but it was unstable as hell. And there was the thing that the regular maps don't really have that many monsters in there.

Somebody should make a purely cooperative hack&slash (figuratively speaking) mod... with longer levels with mostly just killing stuff.

Aye...unless they've majorly patched the mod...it's extremely unstable to the point where it becomes unplayable...getting stuck in walls was a familiar occurance for a mp game..

Or other various glitches...like always having to stay with the crowbar because when you switched levels...you lost your weaponry...little things like that which were enough to drive you mad....kickass attempt...just needs more work

Sven Coop fucking rocks. Especialy if you play using my weapon damage modification (makes rifles more realistic and Marines waste your ass). Chris O'Farrell and myself would play the game for 6 hours straight back when I was living a graveyard scheduel and he being in Australlia. We preferred the singleplayer missions and it was so fucking cool.
