Rogue Spear is teh 1337!!11!

Post by RogueIce »

I love this game. Awesome music, great gameplay, loads of fun! And nothing beats the Urban Ops Missionpack where I can sit in a corner and blow terrorists away with an M249! :D

I don't give a fuck if it's old or the graphics don't rate to today's games, but it's still fun as Hell!

Raven Shield is better.

And Ghost Recon is superior to the entire Rainbow Six series games, in terms of pure fun.

Well it does have the advantage of instant action and mission planning on-the-go... Though the AI's sniper accuracy with assault rifles on full auto can be rather annoying...

Wasn't there patches that sorted the ai's insanely good accuracy?

Rouge Spear was pretty good, and I still play Black Thorn with a couple weapons mods on. But Ghost Recon is much better.

"LoL D34geld b1ttch!!!11"

Actually, I don't know why CS is considered realistic. I've died many times from getting shot in the leg or arm. An HE grenade does about 25 damage when it should have various parts of your anatomy lining the walls. I also haven't seen many people that can climb ladders without using any hands.

OK, Ghost Recon is better as its a leeeettle more forgiving and I like the outdoor environments.

Rogue Spear beats out Raven Shield because the Raven Shield room clearing AI is absolute shit.

And the M249 is shitted all over by the HK21.

CS isn't the most "realistic" or anything, but it's FUN AS HELL!

Hrm, speaking of CS, anyone up for a game?

Location? it would be great if you are in the eastern US, but if you are in other countries, pings might not be TOO horrible, if we pick a good server...

Unfortunately, I forgot that I had to re-install HL the other day, and I lost my CS download. I am not DLing the 100MB CS full-blown on this ISDN line.

Actually, I'll get that Download going before I get to bed tonight, so I don't have to bring my external HDD down from the office.

OK - CS is like trying to have sex with a brick when the divine sexiness of say a Jessica Alba and Sarah Michelle Gellar threesome is calling you from the side of Ghost Recon/Rogue Spear.

GR is a good game, I agree, but it's for a different style of play. GR is mostly sit-and-wait sneak around gameplay, with little actual FIGHTING, while CS tends to be more "rush point a, kill enemy, rush next point". There can be (and there is) a lot of sneaking around in the end of the round, but i dunno. I guess what I'm trying to say is GR requires a lot more thought than CS.

GR= find a good vantage point and wait for the enemy to arrive
CS= KILL STUFF!

That's one of the more humorous analaogies I've heard in quite some time... Aside from Dalton's "deposit in the second nationall bank" in the dump thread.

I'm not into prostitution. I have to buy Alba and Gellar; The brick was free and comes with many other enjoyable modified bricks.

But that's where you're wrong. The brick isn't truly free, it's just seems that way. Therefore, you can have class straight out, or you can have the 2 cent brick which has a prerequisite cost which is the same amount as the Alba and Gellar three-some  .

ahem:
Half-Life Game of the Year Edition* ($15.99) US + CS FREE MOD= $15.99
Ghost Recon GotY Edition ($29.99) US + Rouge Spear ($29.99 official price, lot less if you look around) = $59.98 (and that's just those two, I'm not sure if Rouge Spear is standalone from Rbow 6 or not)

NOTE: All prices from Amazon.com

*With this, you can download/play every single half-life mod created, most of them without buying. There are 1000s of extra games you can get, multiplayer and single. Some are close to the original, many are VERY different (seen the Half-Life racing game yet? Looks like Need For Speed). Please, remind me what extras you get with GR :D

I got Rogue Spear w/ Orban Ops expansion pack for $29.95 Australian (divide that by 2 for rough US price) almost a year ago, Ghost Recon goes for $49.95 Australian, and last I checked (at EB, K-Mart, Target, and Dick Smith Electronics) Half-Life GOTY went for $49.95.

Also, you seem to miss the point that downloading these mods costs, and that I was choking (joking, in case you miss that).
