Evil Dead: Fistful of Boomstick

Post by Death from the Sea »

Anyone seen or played this? I recently rented it and while the graphics are fare from impressive, it captures the fun spirit of the movies.

Is this the same piece of shit as Evil Dead: Hail to the King which I bought, installed, then uninstalled and never looked at again in under 4 hours? If so - you're fucking sick. If not, what are you referring to?

Nope! This is a new game released a month or two ago for the consoles.

It uses the State of Emergency game engine and is quite cool.

No, this is the second game, and it's REALLY fun. The gameplay can get repetitive (kill a thousand Deadites, and you've killed 'em all), but it's got a very quirky storyline and whimsical gameplay. Plus, Bruce Campbell's wisecracks are better'n ever.

If this game cost $50, I'd say that it sucks. But it's twenty smackers. C'mon, I bet you can find that kind of money in the lining of your couch.

I've read that it was actually pretty lame.

Y'know, I hope this prompts Sam Raimi to make another ED movie... Bruce can still do it!

Yeah, if they use the original ending to AoD... that could account for Bruce looking older! :D

I've got Hail to the King and....well yea, if you had/have it then you know what I mean.
I had't heard that there was another game till a week or 2 ago, I was thinking of getting it until I heard that it was crap.
Whats the story line for it? PLEASE don't tell me the tape recorder gets "accidently" turned on again or something!
