Blades and Barmaids version 2.3

Post by Arthur_Tuxedo »

B&B updated. Major changes:

1. Action Points changed to Fatigue Points (just a name change)
2. Skill roll explanation simplified
3. Primary die changed from d20 to d10

This is some seriously cool shit. You made this rules system?

I myself am currently working on an RPG rules system, based off of Core Sillouhette, for an RPG set in the world of China Mieville's Perdido Street Station.

Thanks for the compliment. Art did pretty much all of the rule design (I suggested certain things), and I was the play-test guinea pig. Let me tell ya, it wasn't always this streamlined and easy. At one point, all combat rolls included the use of a calculator. That was bad.

Thanks. That made my day. :D I was afraid SD.net denizens were getting tired of being alerted to new versions.

Not familiar with that setting, but Silhouette kicks major ass. Let us know when you finish.

I'm thinking of changing the system's name from Modular Roleplaying System (generic and gay) to the d10 System. Let me know what you think.

Thirdfain: You're another Pod Person? I thought Typhonis and I were the only big DP9 fans around here. If my FLGS would just carry the books, I'd be happy (*insert foul mutterings here*). I actually managed to get a copy of both Green Books, signed by Marc-Alexandre Vezina.

Arthur: I'll check it out as soon as I'm back on campus, but 56k modems suck compared to T1 lines.

The only systems i've ever gamed with have been d20 and DP9, hotfoot is my GM.

DP9 is a superior system, and I like it alot.

Of course it's a ripoff of d20, that's the whole point. Why start from scratch when I can tap into pseudo-name recognition? :D

EDIT: Why do you think the initials for Blades and Barmaids are B&B? ;)

Hey Hotfoot, you didn't tell me you were doing a DP9 game. Can I join?

Ah, IC. Not online. Why haven't you gotten with the program and joined the rest of us on OpenRPG yet?

I wasn't aware that anyone had made Silhouette rules for OpenRPG, much less Silhouette Core Rules.

Besides, you can do so much more in one session IRL than most sessions OL. Not that I'd discount it entirely, but still. ;)

Of course, if you're willing to come down to NJ to game, just let me know. 8)

*Beats head on desk* That's right...how could I forget the one-man Katja Sez Fan Club :P ?

I just wish the FLGS still carried DP9 stuff. I'm going to have to start mail ordering, and that doesn't help Marc-Alex's distributor numbers. They didn't even bother ordering in the SilCore stuff, the only book I have with SilCore is the Core Command book, and I bought that in Boston.

No one's made B&B rules either, but the built-in chat, die rolling and map is more than I need to run a good session.

Send me a pre-paid plane ticket and I'm there, buddy! ;)
