Is Galaxies worth it???

After reading all about Star Wars Galaxies i'm just contempliating purchasing the game but I wanted some opinions of people that have played it. Is it worth the $50 pice for the game and then a $10 or so subscription for something that quite frangly sucks major ass??

I think it is. It's quite an experience, trying to raise up your character. And...shooting stuff....and..burninating and....

I mean, *ahem* I reccomend it, especially if your a Star Wars fan.

It is awesome. Squashing Rebel scum is most enjoyable. Especially when they're trying to ambush you, but you outnumber them and have AT-ST support.

thats cool but what about the price of subscription?? is it reasonable $10-15 a month or kind of pushing it?? $20-anything higher??

Personally I think it's a disgrace and a slap in the face to Star Wars and online gaming. It's nothing more than Everquest moved to a different setting.

yeah I guess subscription sevice does seem kind of sucky but don't they have to pay for servers, maintenence and shit like that??

I think it's pretty fun. There are of course some downsides to it. For instance I had no clue that Imperial shit would cost twice as much just because my character is a Zabrak, but that of course is my fault..

I am however pissed that my class (Teras Kasi) got beatin with the nerf stick so much. I have to take off ALL my armor (which I desperatly need) and my Vibro Knucklers (same story as armor)... Just to use a special attack which is pretty much worthless anyways being that the costs are still too high. I take off half of my life just to use a couple of moves.

Besides all of that stupid crap the game is a blast.

Here's an opinion from someone who actually PLAYS the game (Sea Skimmer, Tuxedo kiss ass and stop spamming every FUCKING Galaxies thread). I LOVE it. I've already payed one months subscription and I definitely don't regret it. As far as the server I'm on, the war has really started heating up. I think there was just a grace period for them to get bugs and stuff out, plust allow people to kind of get used to the game. I don't get a lot of play time like others do, but I had enough points to get two stormcommandos. Not only that, but I've had a number of shootouts with Rebel Players (Not the NPCs) on many occasions. It's rocking. There's shit loads to do besides fucking fighting and shooting everything. Get it man. If your into Star Wars and into the whole RPG thing, go for it.

I did play the game and I haven't posted anything to a SWG thread in weeks or months, nor do I hunt for SWG threads, nor do I post my opinion of the game in threads not asking for people's opinions on it, so fuck off.

I have played the game I think it sucks and your opinion is no more valid then anyone else so you can just shut the fuck up and stop bitching. I've ignored almost every galaxies thread in any case so your accusations f me spamming them are a load of crap as well.
