I'll give Comcast credit. For a huge corporation, they're very responsive on the tech support side and the price is reasonable for what you get (I hear they charge more if you don't have Comcast cable TV, but I can't confirm this). Fgalkin's in New York, right? I think that's Comcast territory.
We get Comcast here. Their tech support is appalling. They'll lie and mislead as well as flat out ignore you. And that's when you're lucky.

That might not be true of them everywhere, but here in the Motor City they're definitely the people to avoid.

Yeah, it's more if you don't have their Cable...and Storm is right, though I've had the weirdest times with them.

It varies from moron who's never heard of of OS, ping, or most problems and parrots off a screen or is a damn helpful person who allows you to solve your problem no time flat.

My brother and I like to destroy AOL disks mailed to us in creative ways.

ME: I know! Let's put it under the Camry!
BRO: Why bother when we have a shredder?
ME:It's more fun.

Do you not believe in Thor, the Viking Thunder God? If not, then do you consider your state of disbelief in Thor to be a religion? Are you an AThorist?-Darth Wong on Atheism as a religion

Take them to a shooting range. They make great targets. Good coasters too.

AOL is a fucking virus! My sister once tried installing it on my family's machine. I cannot remember how many hours it took me to clean up that mess, but it was a lot. I keep telling her "don't install anything on here because you don't know what you're doing." Of course she doesn't listen and the family machine gets constantly fucked up, and I get called at school or work for tech support.
The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.

You're out of date. They raised the price to $23.95 a couple years ago, which is even more of a ripoff.

Comcast is ok. But that's all I'm saying about it. Service is ok, but tech support is horrid. Plus we keep getting slowed down all the fucking time around here for no apparent reason.

And yes, cable net is more expensive if you don't have cable TV (and the price on that alone is outrageous.. $90 for BOTH!)
