Empire Earth anyone?

Post by Shrykull »

I got the gold version a little while ago, I loved all the ages, basically it's just an age of empires with way more ages, the only thing I'd change is the animation so that the people and vehicles move more fluidly like age of empires. I also like it that the villagers throw spears rather than hitting other humans with those bones they do in AOE.

Couldn't agree more. RoN is everything Empire Earth should have been.

I liked Empire Earth. I play it all the time. There is nothing more satisfying than Nuking a village of cavemen in a multiplayer map.

In my opinion, the only thing RoN lacks from EE is EE's historical referances. Whilst I have found EE's cutscenes useful to jazz up history and english presentations, RoN's lack of charatcters units and historical events sometimes make it a bit bland in my opinion. Of course, their motto is "you make history" but in single player Rule the World can get tedious.

EE wasn't that bad, but everything past the atomic age was execreble, in terms of design, IMO.

I own a version of EE.

It's a fairly mediocre game, but not too bad if you just want to play a little skirmish in the early ages or atomic-age.

I took some notes on its better design aspects for future reference, and left it alone to be played only rarely.
