Anyone done work with telecom?

One thing I hate about on the job training is while you learn faster, sometimes you have gaps in your knowledge that can end up biting you in the butt.

I went to a company today to add two computers to the network and two telephones. So I bring my trusty punchdown w/ the 110 blade. The 110 blade would not make a clean punchdown. I figured out after the day was over I need a 66 blade.

I honestly dont remember at my last company if I had a 66 blade or 110 blade but because I learned on the job I was not aware of there were two types. Oh well, better luck next time.

Anyone got a telecom or other story to tell?
