HELP! Windows Related

Post by Lord Pounder »

My master computer fell apart at the weekend and i'm getting a new machine built. In the meantime i've taken my sisters computer to hook it up to my cable modem. Wee problem. For some reason every 10 minutes or so it shuts down. Something about Remote Access and gives me a 1 minute count down to save up all my programs. This computer was built by a repurtable company and so the windows should be ligit. Could this be a Virus?

Yes, it's caused by a worm.

Download this tiny program that eliminates the worm, put firewall on and then get the Windows update that fixes the problem for once and for all.

This thing was discussed here too some time ago.

The bloody thing attacked my computer also and was making my life miserable, until I discovered the reason. I first thought it had something to do with my ADSL modem being faulty.
