I've been receiving a LOT of Microsoft Security Patch emails lately, and several fake bounces. My guess is that someone here, I don't know who, has a worm on their machine, so I ask you all to please scan your computer. And Colin, you too.

The person who has the virus also has one of Scooter's email addresses and accesses ASVS with Outlook Express, as near as I can tell.

I don't think WINE supports viruses yet... then again, I haven't actually tried running one...

I dont have anyone's email here so I know it is not me, however I updated my virus defs and was missing 1 critical update. So it never hurts to check.

I spent two days straight at a temp job helping a company clean up their laptops after the whole company got infected with one of the latest worms. The record holder laptop required 34 critical updates and had virus defs that were 6 months old.

I just updated my virus defs and am scanning as I type this-- FUCK! I got a fucking virus! Anyone know what Java/ByteVerify is? I think it's related to that Coolwebsearch/Datanotary crap (see the Stickies) I've been hearing about. I believe this because of the word 'ByteVerify'...
