I love winamp

I just got winamp working, i've been listening for 80 minutes and the only problems have been one or two stutters from bandwith overage due to big arsed sites compteing for bandwith with the high quailty audio stream. This r0x0rs!!!

You should try for version 2.9

3 was said to be a resource hog and also bogged down with too much web-related stuff. For playing songs, videos, etc, version 2.9 is enough.

Personally I am fond of Windows Media Player 9 Series *dodges tomatoes*.

I think it's the best in terms of playlist management, good for movies in any format too (with the correct codecs installed, of course).

I use mp9 when appropiate and So far i like winamp 3 just fine. I may go w/ 2.9 if it turns out to be crappy.

I mostly use Foobar2000 now for music, but Winamp 2.91 has its uses.
