Okay, this is becoming frustrating...
I use a Logitech I-Touch cordless keyboard and cordless-optical mouse. A couple of weeks ago my keyboard began typing incorrect letters, so I changed the batteries and it stopped functioning completely. I changed the batteries back and the keyboard still ceased to function.
After much frustration, I borrowed a keyboard and mouse from my friend and put my Logitech set-up into temporary storage as this has happened before and unplugging it for a few days seemed to do the trick.
Fast-forward to this afternoon: I took the keyboard, mouse, and reciever out of storage and set it all up again (complete with fresh batteries), enthusiastic that it would work. It did, until I began to notice one or two things. Mainly that holding right-shift did an ALT on my ass, and pressing tab left strange squares on my screen.
Anyone have a clue what's wrong with it? I've not spilled anything on it, there's no dust or anything under the keys either. It's just not working properly.

I have a logitech cordless keyboard.
With that in mind, after you changed batteries, did you press the connect button on your receiver and the keyboard? (if there is a connect button on yours) That'll resync your keyboard to your receiver.

Unfortunately, I did.Shinova wrote:I have a logitech cordless keyboard.

The problem now is that my keys type the wrong things, such as right-shift being ALT, and typing the letter "i" while holding right-shift makes my browser go back a page.
As I said, nothing has been spilled on the keyboard and I've even checked my keyboard layout and that is fine.

I'll try taking it apart then, thanks. I'd really hate to give up on this keyboard, it's served me so well, but it is under five-year cover so I suppose I could return it if I lose all hope.Chardok wrote:Take the sucker apart and check the contacts between the buttons and the board. clean it. that always helped me, if that doesn't work, then get a new one. Sorry, wish I could be of more help, but that's what I've always done.
Sounds like software/OS problem.Embracer Of Darkness wrote:Unfortunately, I did.Shinova wrote:I have a logitech cordless keyboard.

I hope not, because this set-up has worked for around a year and a half now with only one problem so far (two counting this one). Unfortunately, I've tried absoloutely everything I can think of, so I'll have to think about getting on the wire to Logitech next week.Pu-239 wrote:Sounds like software/OS problem.
Thanks for the advice anyway, guys.
