Hmm, this is the third 'help!' thread i've posted in the last few days...surely that should get me some kind of award for attention whoring!
Anyway, when I start up Halo, I get an error message shortly afterwards that informs me that there's a problem with DirectX, and that I should check DXDIAG. After doing that, with no helpful result (all tests show green) I retry and the game still refuses to run!
My specs are as follows:
P4 2.5ghz
512mb RAM
GeForce4 Ti4600 (Drivers are 43:45)
My desktop resolution is 1280x1024, and the screen refresh rate is 85hz.

Halo PC trouble

Maybe your DirectX is too old? Halo supposedly requires version 9.0b.
In my talons, I shape clay, crafting life forms as I please. If I wish, I can smash it all. Around me is a burgeoning empire of steel. From my throne room, lines of power careen into the skies of Earth. My whims will become lightning bolts that raze the mounds of humanity. Out of chaos, they will run and whimper, praying for me to end their tedious anarchy. I am drunk with this vision. God: the title suits me well.
