I'm waiting for Nazis to sue Activision for having lines that amount to "kill the rest of the Nazis." Which isn't far removed from "Kill the Haitians."

It's fucking stupid too since Rockstar actually went to the trouble of changing the line in all the games that currently ship. Does the Haitian community say thank you? Of course not, they sue them.

No need to endorse the game at all. Fans of said games do that all their own.

I fully support the notion that young kids should be watched and restricted from excessively violent games. But that's not the game makers responsibility, that's the parent's. Once the game makers have stated "not recommended for persons under age#", I consider their hands clean.

I personally was playing Doom at a very young age, and have been playing games of violent nature ever since. But when I went to a real gun range, I was nervous as hell and it took me a couple of minutes to just pull the trigger on a .45 pistol. Damn, if only playing games where I fired off rocket launchers in rapid sequence, leveling buildings and killing "people" left and right had given me such confidence in the real world.

The problem these idiots do not understand is that a person has to be already mentally unstable to consider a computer game a training ground for reality. Given the level of stupidity in the human race, I suppose this viewpoint really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Well, it is very entertaining. Similar to how watching a moon sized battle station blowing a planet into fragments, killing millions in the process. Or a lightsaber dismembering people, people being choked to death, shot by energy weapons, etc, etc.

IMO, computer games have not been responsible for violent crimes in any sense. Violent crimes like rape, murder, driveby shootings, etc existed way before computers altogether. This is just another excuse for society to try and find a scapegoat for it's problems, rather than facing the truth that society's problems require only one ingredient: people.

Besides: By what preposterous reasoning can one argue that once someone turns 17 years of age it magically becomes OK to glorify mass murder? Are we saying that it would have been OK for that Beltway Sniper guy - who was apparently in his 40s - to have been allowed to play "Grand Theft Auto" before going on his killing spree, but it wouldn't have been OK for that young teenager who went along with him to have done the same?

This whole age-cutoff thing is simply garbage - just like "Grand Theft Auto" itself - and sooner or later, I would imagine, we'll come to our senses and ban these games from public commerce, just like we ban child pornography and entertainment spectacles such as cock fighting and dwarf throwing.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

How about we give movie ratings the boot while we're at it, huh? On second thought, let's not stop there, let's ban all violent movies!
