Keep getting a bloody advertising robot thing...

Yo-- people here seem right knowledgeable about computers (but then, if they weren't, would they be here... silly me). I was wondering, could i get some help?

Well, i've got a T1 connection here at school... the problem is, when i was getting used to it, i accidentally downloaded some crap that I've since been trying to kill. Most of it was spyware that came off quickly enough.

incidentally, i use FixIt Utilities, ScrubXP, Norton AV, and System Security Suite 1.04, Spybot Search and Destroy, as well as CoolWebSearch Shredder. Pretty formidable, you would think?

BUT, i keep getting pestered by pop-ups... i've downloaded all the above (except FixIt and Norton), and they don't do squat against the advertising junk. I keep getting ads for eBay, literary guilds, and all that crap... no porn though...

so what i figure, i've got an advertising robot. Can anybody help me with this? I'm not a wonk-- I just know how to do some basic stuff. Anything that involves registry editing is OUT, to say the least. Any suggestions? I've tried nonags.com (great for free downloads!), but i couldn't find anything that helped...

Anyhows, I'd appreciate any help!
