Stamina Damage.

All three characters involved in combat have taken Stamina damage.

Edward Drackman: has taken 5 points of Stamina damage.

Jax: has taken 17 points of Stamina damage.

Alex: has taken 18 points of Stamina damage.

Incidentally, 3rd Squad who were frightened at the start of the combat are no longer emotionally challenged. They'll be a factor to consider in the next round (4, we're currently on 3). A mere 18 seconds has passed.

[edit] I assumed the responsibility of rolling for your Stamina pool.

Ed: At clvl1 you have 12 Stamina points. 4d10 = 25 + 8 (from Con 14) + 12 (from clvl1) = 45.

The minimum you could have gotten would be 24 (assuming you rolled 1s four times in a row).
The maximum you could have gotten would be 60 (assuming you rolled 10s four times in a row).

The average would be 40 (assumes you rolled four 5s).

================================================

Jax: At clvl1 you have 6 Stamina points. 4d6 = 13 + 6 (from clvl1) = 19.

The minimum you could have gotten would be 10 (assuming you rolled 1s four times in a row).
The maximum you could have gotten would be 30 (assuming you rolled 6s four times in a row).

The average would be 18 (assumes you rolled four 3s).

================================================

Alex: At clvl1 you have 9 Stamina points. 4d8 = 22 + 4 (from Con 12) + 9 (from clvl1) = 35

The minimum you could have gotten would be 17 (assuming you rolled 1s four times in a row).
The maximum you could have gotten would be 45 (assuming you rolled 8s four times in a row).

The average would be 29 (assumes you rolled four 4s).

================================================

You each made it past the average, though in Jax's case just barely.

If any of you want to reroll, or if you have an alternative house rule you'd like to introduce IE different method for determining hitpoints then speak up. Otherwise I'll operate under the basis that what I rolled is what you want/got.

[edit2] Forgot to add what the average you could get. Silly me.

I hold my action and fire when I see a target of opportunity, or when one of those guys gets too close.

So... you ready an action to attack the next guy to come through the doorway?

Or you delay an action to after the other guys act? As for targets of opportunity, don't count on anymore. I think after taking damage from two mistakes your opposition will shape up a bit.
