We'll see. Unlike the Astartes, they're not meant as frontline troops. And to put it bluntly, they're smarter and stealthier than the average Space Marine by a large margin. A Space Marine could not outperform a SPARTAN at the kind of special operations the SPARTANs are frequently assigned to.Captain tycho wrote:Bah, Spartans pale in comparision to Adeptus Astartes anyways.

WH40K Space Marines, and he's right in that they outpower a SPARTAN in main infantry combat.Agent Fisher wrote:What? What are those?Captain tycho wrote:Bah, Spartans pale in comparision to Adeptus Astartes anyways.

Thank you Rogue. Your information was most wanted. Well, SPARTANs are made with tech from 2525 AD. I wonder how good SPARTANs would be if they were from Star Wars tech level?Rogue 9 wrote:WH40K Space Marines, and he's right in that they outpower a SPARTAN in main infantry combat.Agent Fisher wrote:What? Wow, you guys are soooo cute, trying to make cool little uberwank shit!
Almost every major power is going to have teams of elite, advanced power-armor. The SPARTAN program is hardly anything new, folks; and don't expect to get anything totally war-changingly powerful from SPARTANS. Rather, focus on clever strategy and advantageous diplomacy- you will find that unlike SPARTANs, these things will actually give you an advantage.

You should know better than to use an antimatter weapon, especially in an atmosphere. Oh, and your aim was off.

I revised the CorpSec fleet counts (guess the past few years have been kind of boring for them) and added some government information. Hope that works.
As for ground forces, I'll have to update and repost the catalogs of the various CorpSec companies. We make and sell just about everything. Power armor (Combat Environment Suit, Hazardous Environment Suit), fully self-aware droids, hover and tracked vehicles of all sorts...
I think a quote from the Techno Union representative in Episode II sums it up: "Are we prepared for war? War is our business... of course we're prepared!"
Also, I may bring back my bounty hunter alter ego for some fun hijinks. Although by now I think he's definitely found some anti-aging treatments.

Very good at boarding and this kind of operations, but piss-poor at anything like ground combat...

Telepaths, psionics, and cybenetics are the norm in even technologically vanilla societies like the Commonwealth. Feel free to use them, and enjoy a regional.anyone mind if i take a regional power? i've got most of my ideas fleshed out. also, i take it things like telepaths, psionics, advanced cybernetics etc. are kosher provided there's a suitable reason to have them?
