Ladies and gentlemen. For the record, perhaps I should have explained earlier, you are aboard the Retribution Class (vaguely) Battleship Emperor's Grace.

Krueger's funeral should be soon.

Eh. After reading about 10 Dan Abnett books in succession I'd kill for some variety.

Not that I'm considering it. No siree.

It isn't Reverse Meaning Friday, either.

Sometime between us blowing the hell out of those cultists and the narrative picking up again, I would assume.

I keep on meaning to post more. But I've got work to do. More shall be revealed later.

Recall Vonrilyental's comment about the shipyards?

No. Apart from a vague recollection of their existance.

Are we free to go kick Daemon buttocks for a few pages, then?

If you really must. I'm wondering how many demons there actually are. For now, most of the other chaos cults will be keeping a low profile.

What with a shitload of Imperial Guard around... I've said too much.

Well, these aren't really daemons, they're Scooby-Doo daemons who we'll unmask at the end of the mission, see...

The only thing I can recall that's even vaguely connected to shipyards was Vonrilyental's mention of the the potential for improved ships wit the discovery of the device.

EDIT: going back through the game thread, I think the comment NecronLord may be referring to is
this:
“We – I and Lord Inquisitor Vonrilyental -had hoped for you to locate and destroy his handlers first, but instead you came here…” it said, “an unfortunate setback, but not a major concern for us. If you had attacked the new shipyards, that would have proven annoying…”

I'm cool with some dialogue and plotting... too much action overwhelms the appetite. But if ya'll want to kill shit, I'm good for that show too. :)

I think we've had quite enough action for the time being, personally. I want to know what's going on.

Incidentally, I should hope none of you are opposed to random and horrific torture of NPCs.

NL, I'm infamous for random, brutal torturing of NPCs, and savage deaths for beloved characters that the players are fond of.

So like any good hypocrite, I hereby condemn this brutality!

Just kidding. Torture away.

Anyone actually know how an autorack works? Is it just a rack with a motor, or something more sophisticated?

I always imagined it as a Spanish Inquisitor's wet dream... probably a servitor-controlled torture machine with a variety of nasty looking implements, as well as life-support equipment and a selection of truth drugs, hallucinogens and so on.

First off, appearance would have to be maximized, because an ideal interrogation breaks the subjects with the threat before the actual pain begins. So lots of nasty automated sharp pointy implements, all of which are actually functional... (because it would do poorly for a heretical inquisitor to be subjected to it and have him laughing at all the nonfunctional doodads.)

But it's basically the Swiss army knife of interrogation devices... when the subject is strapped down, all one would have to do is press a button to achieve the desired effect.

Thumbscrew? Push the button. Water torture? Push the button. Testicle crushing? Push the button.

You get the idea.
