Additionally, it would likely have attachments for facilitating sensory deprivation and sensory alteration.

The Inquisition engages in retributive torture or punitive just as much as it engages in interrogatory torture, and those are two entirely different methodologies, something to bear in mind.

Oh, and somebody needs to bite the bullet and abort our daemon-hunting expedition with a plausible excuse.

How very inquisitorial.

Anyway, deleted. Next up, Tacticus.

Well, Tycho seems to be out for the evening, so I propose we revise back to the point of the vox call and proceed from there.

Sounds like fun. I'll finish describing the Horusians, to Prius' horror.

You know those Arbitors... they get into the evidence locker, start sampling the recreational chemicals, next thing you know they're hallucinating about daemons and pink cows...

Question: Would it be acceptable if I retconned my character as being a member of the Ordo Hereticus as opposed to Malleus? I don't think it's actually been a matter of much significance to the story as yet, and a bit of variety might be useful, given that every other Inquisitor seems to be from the Ordo Malleus.

I don't think my character's Ordo has even been mentioned more than once or twice... the closest I can recall is somebody mentioning that most of the Inquisitors in the area are Ordo Malleus.

We need more variety.

Say, while I'm on the subject, I intend for Pater to 'borrow' Kruger's Psycannon, but I'm worried if it might restrict movement a bit; It does, after all, go on the shoulder, and Pater's main weapon is his Staff.

It definitely would. He'd lose a whole range of striking motions by having a weapon mounted on his shoulder. Basically any upper right motion (assuming he's mounting it on the right) would be lost. Serious disadvantage for a staff fighter, and one an experienced opponent would take advantage of.

Hrm. Suggestions? He's a Malleus member; The Psycannon is almost mandatory.

Does it have to be him that wields it? I'm sure he could find somebody else who's a good enough shot to use it.

Idea! I was planning on him having a Familiar eventually. He could have the Psycannon inside the familiar; It sits on his shoulder until he starts fighting, at which point it flys off and takes pot shots at the bad guy.

Switching melee weapons to a one-handed weapon and mounting the psy-cannon on his left shoulder. If he's like most people, his dominant eye is opposite of his dominant hand anyway.

Edit- Or you could, like, get a familiar to shoot it for you.

Eh. Methinks Kruger didn't live long enough to give him a distinct personality from Pater's.

Am I correct in guessing that you started out with the idea of Kruger being the star of your show but got more interested in Pater as you played?

Utterly incorrect. I actually put Kruger through as many dangerous situations as possible, but he kept coming out without a scratch. :P

I stand corrected then. My interpetation has failed me, and all that is left for me is to fall upon my sword.

Y'know, I could see this story working out over the span of a couple of centuries, as Pater and Prius run into each other off and on. Never really friends, because they're both fairly antisocial, but that whole 'bond of mutual respect' thing.
