And that's it for me for the day. The usual line of Prius-puppeting applies. Cheers.

It may be interesting to note that Kruger probably seemed such a fleshed-out character because I essentially took all the characteristics I gave Pater and reversed them.

Which reminds me; I left my characters pretty much a blank slate at the beginning of the story. So, belated personal info!

Davik Kruger; 6.2 feet tall, eyes green, hair silver. Dark caucasian.
Chronological age, from birthdate: ~200
Chronological age, minus hypersleep: ~150
Biological age: ~60

Davik Kruger is a senior member of the Ordo Malleus, whose views- particularily towards aliens and mutants- have been softened over the decades. He firmly believes that a kind word will get him further than a bullet. He is thin, yet not emaciated. There is a sense about him that he has no excess muscles or fat on him; Possibly a result of his artificially-enhanced lifespan. He wears a red high-collared shirt and severe black trousers underneath carapace armour and a high-collared black cloak that is red on the inside. His normal armament is a Psycannon he is mentally linked to on his left shoulder, a matte black Boltgun given to him by Brother-Sergent Gaion of the Red Flag chapter and a Chainsword that was his masters' before his untimely death. He also owns an anti-psycic ward, given to him by his apprentice, Pater Novum.

Pater Novum; 6 feet tall, eyes and hair brown. Extremely pale caucasian.
Age: 25

Pater Novum is an Interrogator in the Ordo Malleus. He is young and brash, yet reserved. He deliberately cultivates his image to intimidate others. He is wide around the chest and physically imposing, a trait which he takes every advantage of. His dark gaze gives the impression the he is more than willing to fillet you if you get in his way; This is usually true. He's oddly silent. He hails from a rich family on Calligula Secundus, a planet of craftsmen and artisans. Most of his gear was either made by him personally or is a family heirloom, including his ornately-detailed low-profile carapace armour and Onyx Force staff. He carries 2 lasguns and has a dark green cloak that can absorb las-bolts with ease. He has an all-purpose psychic ward. He prefers simplicity and wears a standard shipsuit at all times. He lost his right hand, and has a replacement that he specifically requested wasn't covered by Synthflesh; all part of his carefully-calculated appearance. His native language is a somewhat archaic form of High Gothic.

Please excuse the formatting; I'll fix it up later.

Y'know, expanding on my previous thought... depending on how long this particular game lasts and assuming that NL allows us a handful of survivors, it might be a cool notion to timejump a bit a la the Eisenhorn novels, maybe jump a good thirty to fifty years down the road to start the next game.

Just a thought.

I'd love that.

What do you think of my character descriptions? Is that how you pictured them?

Pretty much dead-on for how I imagined Pater... I'd envisioned Kruger as being a bit bigger, not muscle-bound necessarily, but kind of average-sized, not skinny.

I didn't really mean skinny, just... Sorta pared-down to the essentials. No excess fat.

Yeah, I gotcha. I just imagined him as a bit... fleshy.

So, shall we attend to his funeral tonight?

Yeah, lets.

Er, what would the funeral be like? The old 'fired into space in a torpdeo' schtick?

However you want to do it. Fired into space, incinerated, whatever. Nice and solemn, with a last testimonial affirming faith in the Emperor.

A pre-incineration ceremony does give room for all sorts of fire imagery in the testimonial speech, I must say.

Ouch. 2 Panadene (I think you call them Tylenol) and a dark room is your friend.

Good stuff, everyone.

Prius in Nathans service for a few years would be fun...Nathan has the Emperors outlook. If the Alien swears fealty to Earth or leave mankind alone don`t bother with them .If they get in our way wipe them out.

It'll be interesting, given Prius' completely inflexible stance with regards to xenos. I could see them having a serious falling out along the way, as Prius loses his reverence for inquisitors.

Feeling a bit better now. Aspirin and coffee serve to transfer the discomfort from head to stomach.

Don't expect much Dialog, some thought blurbs but not any dialog.

like marine scouts, Novice Sisters, even Psy hunters like her, can't speak, unless ordered too.

Longinus

Power Spear
Length 4 meters
bonus to attack when in overwatch vs. charging enemies.
Longinus is a weapon either reconsencrated after liberation, or forged from captured heretical weapons, and concecrated to the service of the Wytch hunters. This weapon also deals damage to psychers and creatures of the warp.

Wow, great sense of timing YB, dropping a Blunt into the middle of a funeral. You do realise that everybody gets the screaming heebie-jeebies when they're near, right? :P

What, she works for Nathan, she doesn't talk, and yes, she only gives psychers the heeby-jeebies

because they can't sense her at all

Well, guess who all the Inquisitors in the room are?

Starts with "Psy" ends with "Kers"

They also give normals the H-Js.

actually I was re-reading the fluff

Blanks don't give Psykers the hjs nor do they freak out normals

after all, you sense no taint of Chaos, no psi emeinations.

what freaks out normals is when we activly show off our highlander immortal like capabilities....

healing fatal wounds
not aging
knowing when psykers are present even though we aren't psychers
oh, and becoming very emotionally detached after a while. (the main reason chaos can't influence them is they don't feel strong emotions)

actually, aside from the big hulking more then twice her size, very old weapon, she's rather small, and you wouldn't pay a second glance at her.

she just demurly follows nathan, does what ever she's told to do, doesn't talk, and tries to protect the rest of the team.

No, they *do* freak out normals and Psykers. Read Eisenhorn, Ravenor, or even the bio for the Culexis assasains.

Also the main reason blanks are a common mutant type, is because they don't give off a psi emenation, and except for emotional detachment, you would never know that someone's a blank.

It's when you realize that mind tricks don't work on them, that you get freaked out.

Grr. Ravenor, Hardback, P.86.
Technically, he was almost sexy in a weather-beaten, exotic way, but the basic essence of him repelled Kys. The blankness, the nothingness.

I can find more evidence in Xenos, Malleus, Hereticus and For the Emperor.
