Well that kind of kills the HAB feel. But I suppose I should have the Elite Guard get all you minions back to work building my army. Well I'll make a decision by the time we agree on technology. So possibly never.

Thank you for giving me a completely original idea that isn't in any
way connected to Nazi Germany

I present to you.............."Confederated Outcomes", capable of taking
any risk, no matter how insane, if the price is right! We of course,
own our own solar system which we use to support our military base
without tying ourself to possibly disastrous ship maintenance contracts
with people who could be our enemies oh, five minutes from now

We also buy old ships about to be scrapped from all the major
galactic powers, refurbish them into semi top of the line ships, and
then resell them to minor powers as a side business to make money
when there aren't any wars going on for us to make money off of by
killing for the almighty dollar.

This ensures that we have a decent fleet of about a few hundred ships
that aren't terribly out of line with galactic standards...

I didn't mean that you'd be in total control. I just meant that you'd more or less have the different fiefs integrated as far as the military industrial complex went, the Elite Guard would be a presence throughout the realm, and the civil wars would be put to an end.

More "Holy Roman Empire 1200" than "Holy Roman Empire 1500."

The Elite Guard could be like your Sardaukar, used to crush any futile resistance. I just like the concept of Dune-style fiefs. And it fits with the HAB atmosphere, with the Great leader in charge and the other members lording it over their own departments.

I suppose this could work with several people interested in controlling a fiefdom. The rest of them would simply be assumed by have integrated to the point of absorption into the personal holdings of the central authority under THE GREAT LEADER.

All right then, that's makes three or four so the idea should work quite well without being unwieldy. Now we need the Duchess the propose her history and galaxy plan.

Anything that doesn't have a 50 km long ship by 20 km wide ship
with 5km of armor be considered a "destroyer"

No need to be a prick shep...

I was not present for the STGOD on ASVS, and IIRC the original post was meant as a continuation of the SDN STGOD from a few months ago....

Prick? This is merely stating a fear of mine:

I would start out all excited about joining the ASVS STGOD, and then
as I read the insane fanwankery masturbatory ship sizes, I had the
thoughts:

"How am I supposed to build up a technological base to counter this?
A race big enough to build counters to those ships would have been
noticed by now"

Sorry. The use of the rolling eyes indicated to me a condescending 'tone'

But yeah... those ship sizes are a little big...

Naggarok-class Battleship.

Length: 50 Km
Width: 20 Km
Sublight Drive: Intertialless Drive(Capable of instantly attaining .99c without
acceleration or interia)
Backup Sublight: Ionic.
Supralight: Wormhole Generator
Backup Supralight: Folddrive.
Primary Shields: Folding Space*(Copied from the Scion B.)
Secondary Shields: Hypershields, 50 layers, rated at 6e38 J each.(Basically, I
want something able to take a DS blast)
Armour: Compressed QC, five klicks in depth. Beastial composition means
regeneration is rapid against most weaponry.
Weaponry:
Energy/Railgun:
10 turreted Fleet Corrupters(DS-level Superlasers carrying Infection. Like the
_Hunger_)
50 turreted Superlasers, rated at 1e37 each.
60 High Cap Turbolaser batteries.(Stolen from the Peacekeeper II while it was
infected)
2,000 Heavy MRG's.(Lifted from the SCEF)
5,000 HTL's, turreted configuration.
20,000 LTL's, turret configuration for point defense.
30,000 Light MRG's, point defense
50,000 Pulse Phaser turrets for point defense.
Missiles:
10,000 HyperMissile launch points(Mmm. Swarm)
5,000 Consumer Missile launch points.
Fighter Complement:
144 Squadrons of Acolyte Fighters.
200 Squadrons of Avenger Fighters.
50 Squadrons of Bat fighters.

Notes: The Intertialess drive has been hardened against it's initial frailty to
EMP blasts. The Naggarok-class is a resource-intensive vessel, often taking an
entire system of infected resources to obtain all the required materials. It is
reserved for extremely dangerous missions, when maximum firepower must be
brought to bear.

OOC: Yes. It's got an assload of shield layers.

Three things to note for the insanity:

1) She's one of the lightest ships in the STGOD's final arc.

2) She received a much needed upgrade halfway through, was still, pound for pound, inferior.

3) There's several trillion of these.

Under RN nomenclature that thing would have been (displacement-wise) on a class greater than a heavy superdreadnought of the wall.
