Oh, and by the way, my dedicated Romulan laborers constuct colony ships in a mere two turns, unlike your lazy Klingon workers.

The Romulans fought the Dominion, too! *Sigh* I suppose it's not your fault, Klingon. You can't be expected to remember very much with such a tiny brain.

We are Klingons! We do not need the help of a wheedling, cowardly race like the Ferengi.brianeyci wrote:Do not forget the Ferengi, providing Breen Disruptors, Class X Quantum Torpedoes and biogenic weapons for a millenia! Pah, Klingon "honor" is all about being slaughtered in droves. We Romulans can do without it, but we'll make sure that you Klingons gain lots of honor indeed.

Okay, this is really weird. I'm doing a one player game with the trek mod on hard, with the same empires in our multiplayer game. Lately, I've been coming across these enemy vessels that the computer just decides are invincible. My ships drain their shields to almost nothing, and then they can't seem to hurt them anymore. When I check the status, it always says that there's some damage, but all the components are still intact.
Also, the amount I can get the shields down to before my weapons' fire just stops working is always the same as this mystery damage. Like, the ship'll have 24 damage, and I can't get the shields below 24.
Just to make things better, these magic ships regenerate shield points like nobody's buisness, even though they don't have shield regenerators. One battle station regained about 1000 shield points in less than 10 combat turns.
Any of you guys who're doing one-player games encounter this bug? So far, I've only seen the Klingons do it, but they're the only empire I'm fighting.

Yeah, I've seen that too...maybe it's some kind of specific game mechanic (Trek shields do tend to regenerate) and I think specific types of armor can absorb a lot of damage. Maybe there's some sort of threshold for damage?

Just regenerating shields I can deal with, but this is definetly a bug. A noncombatant ship building base should not be able to withstand getting pounded by my best fleet for nearly thirty combat turns. It's pretty much fucked my game, seeing as how one of these things (the base I just mentioned), is at one of the planets I just conquerered. I can't just leave the thing there! But it seems like it'll be impossible to get rid of it!
All the ships and vessels that have done this have emissive armor, but that shouldn't be that strong. Hell, most of my ships have emissive armor, too, but they're not invincible.
I mean, come on, Dalton, is there really any honor in winning because there's a glitch in the mod?

The same thing happens in Stock if you use 10+ crystalline armors. 10+ crystalline armors and a shield generator makes the ship seem "invincible" except to specific high damage weapons, or shield skipping/armor skipping weapons.
Use engine disruptors, or if worse comes to worse use torpedoes which have one big shot that takes 3 turns to reload rather than 3 separate shots. If you have racial tech that can skip shields use that too.

Oh, and Dalton, it may intrest you to know that the Klingon Empire in my one player game has since submitted to the might of the Romulan people.
It's the nature of a multiplayer game set on hotseat. The ships don't move when you're watching, basically.Uraniun235 wrote:What the fuck? Why don't my colony ships have any movement whatsoever? They have a Warp Core, two Nacelles, and two Impulse engines!

Try giving them four nacelles. I think that should fix.
...Yeah, you'll probably want Brian's advise.
EDIT: Oh yeah, Romulan Star Empire pulls into 2nd place! Meanwhile, the Klingon Empire continues to languish at 8th. Still can't pull the "workers" out of the blood wine, eh, Dalton? It's so much worse than my peoples' ale, and yet they can't seem to stay away from it...disgraceful.

Uranium, use the retrofit function. It should only take one turn rather than taking three for you to build all new ones. In fact, you can retrofit and continue building something at your space yard, so no problem you're only behind one turn.
<edit>Holy fuck you eager beavers, I process the turn last night and I wake up this morning and you've all uploaded your turns! . I knew it, it's addictive isn't it.
I've e-mailed the PBW Admin in charge of mods, hopefully we get this automatic execution thing working again.</edit>
