Set to ALPU until Nepthys uploads. Then will set back to fully auto.

Does anyone have the files for the hotpatch we did handy? I'm back at campus now and using my laptop, which I forgot to put the patch into. I'll go searching through the old B5 thread if I have to, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could spare me the trouble.

Do game mechanics have anything to do with RP at all?
I just found four EA ships in a nebula. The green nebulas in B5 apparently don't shield the ship from normal sensors (but just disable shields). Obviously U235 didn't know this, so is it fair for Marxis to raise hell or were those ships just left over from nothing?
Meanwhile my fucking retrofits screwed up. Bah.

It was a gaffe in that I didn't realize it wouldn't shield me from detection, but if I'd paid closer attention to the nebula descriptions I would have realized that.brianeyci wrote:Do game mechanics have anything to do with RP at all?

Play it however you want. If you want to "uncover EA spies", so be it.

Just to be clear, I gave all of my assets to an ally and then withdrew, only because I was going to Vegas for a week.GuppyShark wrote:Dalton did his turn and then withdrew a few days later.
From Dalton's previous behaviour, I strongly expect he has surrendered to an ally rather than let the victor have the spoils. But you're right, we can't tell yet.

Well the skull and crossbones haven't appeared in the game yet, so the Narns are still alive somewhere. So if ever you want back in you just need to join up... not sure how fucked your empire is though.
Every day I wonder when the Minbari will come through and rip the galaxy a new one, and every turn I'm disappointed. Ah well.
<edit>Actually I just checked, damn the Narns are toast. Oh well.</edit>

Quiet you. You wouldn't have to worry if you didn't use gamey tactics to stop and blow up my 50k warp point closer.Uraniun235 wrote:Do I need to buy diapers for my EarthForce space traffic controllers soon?
Just research and retrofit in massive mounted light molecular slicer beams on your Omegas ASAP and make sure you fire from maximum range and target largest first. And instead of security teams slap in a slab of advanced armor for god's sake. And sell some to me. And it's time to cut our trade with the fucking boneheads. All the money that's going her way's probably giving her close to 200+ extra ships.

Hm, yes, also because of SE:V's vaunted new combat system, a battletech mod would put SE:V to the test since it'd be oriented around ground combat instead of ships blasting each other in space. So if SE:V ground combat sucks battletech would likely suck, but if it was all it claimed to be, battletech would probably be great.GuppyShark wrote:Man, I want SEV to be out. I've got a fucking awesome idea for a mod:
BattleTech. It'd be easy to do and soooo much potential for a great RP game.
Anyway it comes out in a week or so, but I do not think SE:IV will just die when SE:V comes out. I'm sure they'll be advantages in one or the other.
I am still looking for : Stargate, Starcraft, and Star Wars lol.

Holy shit my retrofits fucked up again because I didn't pay attention to organics. Now I have to make another 500 or so clicks. Grr.
Don't tell me in this universe, the Dilgar are the ones with the body thetans! The first, is the contacting of two rogue Minbari War Cruisers, Tragati and Ralafa, which have been wandering between hyperspace routes in rebellion against our decision to end the first campaign against the Dilgar
Holy crap lol, the game keeps getting better. Too bad the Dilgar are a warlike expansionist race who are bent on galactic domination .

If you're referring to Vir whining in the RP, you'll note that he's only thinking, not speaking it aloud. Considering that I'm in Vreetan right now, I would be making fun of me if I were you.

It feels goooooooood back on 48 hour turns.
I noticed you redid your turn Trogdor. Anyway, I'm going to tell everybody who bought Corporate ships a little secret. Marxis has a kill switch. Yeah, if I set it to ram or don't get hurt, and your fleet breaks, they'll be flying hunks of junk.
Well. Marxis is gone now. I think.
I don't see why Vir has a dilemma. Unless you forgot troops. Did you forget troops? Damn. Well I'll sell you a planet killer full of Abrams. Lifetime warranty.

Transports were blown to hell while getting through the jumpgate. I couldn't open a second Cascan/Vreetan gate and by the time I realized I could simply close the first one, it was too late. Not one of my brighter moments, I admit.
