Torturing them for the location of their hidden rebel base is another. And of course, we checked it out...and independantly verified the info etc etc etc.
Er, the only difference I'm seeing is that you are inherantly assuming that the Ousters just kept going until they got the answer they wanted, while you just stopped when you got the "truth".
....are you feeling okay?

No.. there is a difference, and it depends on the type of information one seeks
And the bombers had to have some sort of support. Random shipowners don't have the resources to bring down a massive station. They had to be hired, or ordered, to do the job.

You obviously need to get better acquainted with the definition of "reasonable doubt."
Im tired of seeing "clear and present danger" rhetoric when the danger is neither clear nor present.
You also obviously need to get better acquainted with the Republic's attitude towards unprovoked conquest, though I'll agree with you to some extent.

Actually, considering how you supported Aly over the invasion of Tortuga you should probably give the same support to Thirdfain here, I mean seeing as how both batches of evidence came in the same way, and point to the same thing...

What? Thirdfain has naval records from my fleet command IDing White Sun ships as bomb-carriers? The evidence for the Tortugans' piracy was widespread. Alyrium tortured pirates to obtain information about their hideouts, not to get them to admit to deeds that there was already ample evidence of without such measures. The evidence for the casus belli in the two cases are radically different.
He's right. Still, I have non-interrogation tapes, the bomber's own records of his dealing with the Sixtra- presumably something he kept on his ship as insurance in case his buyers decided to stiff him out of his pay.

And the evidence of the ship blowing up the station is widespread. Thirdfain just tortured what he could to find their funding/equiping location.

Amazing deduction, Holmes! Unfortunately for your theory, evidence of who the ship belonged to and/or who hired it beyond the torture sessions is not widespread. Information as to the port of origin of the pirate ships was indeed quite widespread. That is the difference; in the current case the only massive evidence is that the event happened, not who caused it to happen. With the Tortugan situation, the evidence of the occurrences were widespread, along with evidence of who the perpetrators were.
You all have excellent evidence of who the perpetrators are. There are tapes of this guy conversing with Sixtra, making deals as to how to blow up the station and who'se being paid what.

Oh, I know I exagerated on some points. I was just trying to get across that the evil of the Ousters is not in the open. And even then, its not as widespread as everyone else seems to think. And you have been doing some expanding yourself, Rogue9, although I do take your point.

The Ouster Trade Fortress over Hudson was attacked with a terrorist bomb, causing it to fall out of orbit, smashhing into the planet below killing tens of thousands of Ousters and millions of humans. Four days later, the Ousters release a statement blaming the White Suns Confederation, along with evidence that is decent but not *totally* damning. The Ousters call for an "eye for an eye" on the White Suns, but are holding their hand while the Veithans probe some White Suns and Ouster high leaders to see if they did it. Some powers have taken the Ouster side, some are neutral, and some have pledged to protect the White Suns and have thrown the evidence out.
The Galaxy is now waiting for the Veithans to announce what they have found scaning the White Suns people.

I will do what I can to throw out a post dealing with the White Sun and Ouster scannings. I was delayed by other obligations and the arrival of my father to the country, soooo, it may not happen this morning but later today. I apologize for this, but I am doing the best I can.
