A completely different clan from the guy that originally attacked The Dark has declared war on us. They aren't as strong but they would still probably be able to take us out. There is a way to attack members in their clan without us having to make a clan war with them right? The Dark, I've just seen that your economy was badly hurt. If you need aid, let me know.

Does anyone have any ideas about what to do next? We can handle 2 clans at the same time, especially since one of those clans are stronger than us.

hi, I've newly joined. "Insert Name" is the country name

But well, we can always go in "beyond reach" mode and try to hide networth one way or another and coast low until they find other targets.

If you are more powerful than the individual clan members, you can go rocket boom and rush up out of reach by focusing on pumping networth and then throw generous aid to weaker players. It is very dangerous however.

Anyway, I made a table of units, and here is my findings.

1. Specialized units are good against enemies using combined arms
2. General purpose units are better then diverse specialized units if and only if the enemy specializes with only one or two unit type. But that means they'll be missing one set of units completely, which seems unlikely given general player tendencies as seen on this board.
3. An Attack oriented army is totally different from a defense oriented one, as a attack army should be packed with specialized building crushers but a defense army should be all anti-units.
4. It is best for everyone in the Clan to specialize and in offense against certain unit composition.
5. APC is useless in increasing combat effectiveness due to high cost, use it only to save acres when desperate for land.
6. Aircraft carriers in general don't change unit effective by much, and it only helps B-2 to become better. Use it to save acres, and don't use if you don't have a significant navy, because it will be sunk fast then as all specialized anti-sea would attack it.
7. Vehicles is most land-strength effective
8. The enemy will always have buildings (duh!)

Individual unit findings:
X-35 is very cost effective if your opponent have vehicles and air as it is useful in defending all three attacks.
Humvee and Flame Trooper KICK ASS, because if you kill all their infantry you can steal their money like nothing
Attack Boats aren't that useless a infantryless opponent is a dead one
SH-60 is slightly better than subs in cost effectiveness, use it unless you want a navy for other reasons, then subs can soak damage with their high hp to money ratio.

Heavy Tanks is a good attacker, but useless in vehicleless defense like air-sea attacks, dont rely on it too much
Rifle are crap, use hovertanks instead

Suggestions: Build infantry + one and only one unit type.
This is assuming spy, sniper, and theif can be killed by normal anti-infantry attack
aka either Infantry + sea, Infantry + air or Infantry + vehicle

I'd recommad Infantry + air or Infantry + sea, as you can use Air-Sea attack/Ground attack with only one unit type if desired, effectively wasting up to 3/4 of the enemy firepower while you still have 1/2 ratio firepower. Infantry + tank is quite useless anyway, since almost every unit attacks either one.

But of course that means some countries will be your counter, and that is why the defense structures should be build to neglect that effect, countering unit types that tend to counter yours. For example, air is most vulnable to SAM (only specialized AA unit) so built lots of anti-tank defense to counter that.

Also, there will be countries you can't attack because their defense is tailored against you, but that is why clans exist: let others that specialize differently to attack them.

The Dark has to send you an invitation first. You go Exonerate; just as long as you don't go up against their 6 top guys who has a networth of over 100k

Should I attack someone stronger or weaker thatn me in the bloody impact clan? I'm worried about attacking cause I am in the attack range of some of the guys that are stronger than me.

Edit: Nevermind, just read the clan forum. Not everybody is able to read the clan Forum (the dark) because of something weird their computers do. I think that we should attack now cause they won't be on till tomorrow, they're probably sleepin now and wouldn't be able to respond.

you need to step up your air defense and he wont be a problem, a bunch SAM tanks is the best cure.

I have a theory, their clan motto mention wind and water. Im guessing theyve thrown almost EVERYTHING into their Air and Sea attacks.

Ground attacks using SAM and Heavy Tanks will be ruthelssly effective against all of them. GargamelsKatt will be destroyed rather quickly if Drgonflight and myself get our turns back up.

Attacking somebody with a higher networth requires less moral. Go for somebody big.

I still have the hope this could be a misunderstanding. Only one member of their clan has attacked. We don't to provoke them into attacking us. They could destroy us.

I just realized that you can make $2500/turn by build and sell. While research pays off more in the long run, a research point only boosts your hourly income by $6, making it +10368/day after a day of research, while tank selling does 180000/day.

That is if you have no research labs, at 50 it is 20736 and 31104 at 100 labs.

Misunderstanding? They declared a clan war in the hopes that we would return the favor. As it is, their higher networth people can't attack any of us but if we declared a clan war they would be able to. The reason they didn't attack and just declared a clan war is because they can't attack and are hoping that we declare a clan war back to them.

Only one member of their clan has attacked.

Two now, Ted has attacked.

Even if it isn't an misunderstanding I still don't think we should attack. Right now we should be concentrating on killing the rest of Talimini clan. Then go after Impact. We don't need Tali nipping us in the butt while we're going after bigger fish.

If you ask me, the target posted at the clan forum seems nice.

But I think we are better off building up strengh by teching and other methods, rather than waste energy fighting petty wars.

Unless you all want a fast clan bouse....but at the current rate it would take a while to say the least, and the benefits wouldn't be that great given the costs of war.

Focus on one group at a time or you're going to be crushed when 3 enemies are coming after you all at once. Peg them off one at a time and you will be, relatively, fine.
